    Chief Field Development Specialist

    Our client, a major player in the Oil & Gas industry is poised to expand its activities. To accelerate this vision, applications are invited from suitably qualified Ghanaians to fill the Chief Field Development Specialist position. 

    Job Summary

    This role will be responsible for ensuring efficient and safe operations, maximizing hydrocarbon recovery, and meeting production targets. This role will be to work with the Project Management team to ensure project integrity and a high level of operational efficiency is maintained.

    Develop strategies and plans for the overall development of the company’s oil and gas assets. Evaluate reservoir characteristics, production potential, and recovery techniques to implement the most optimal and efficient development strategies. Utilize reservoir simulation studies to optimize recovery techniques and enhance production. Provide hands-on support for development and use of dynamic models, including PVT-models creation and integrated production models.

    Assess and manage risks associated with field development projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, reservoir engineers, drilling engineers, and production engineers. Ensure EHS requirements are integral to all aspects of operational programmes and development activities and Prioritize safety and environmental responsibility in all field development activities. Chief Field Development Specialist

     

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • A University degree in an engineering discipline, preferably in reservoir or petroleum engineering.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Field Development Specialist / Reservoir Engineer / Petroleum Engineer, preferably with operating companies.
    • Reservoir engineering expertise, including Eclipse/Petrel software or similar.
    • Experience in PVT-modeling, including PVTi/PVTsim or similar PVT-software.
    • Experience in integrated production modelling, including Prosper/Gap software.
    • Work experience in remote locations and knowledge of work environments in West Africa
    • Interpersonal skills necessary to establish good working relationships with a team.
    • High proficiency with IT and relevant industry software.
    • Willingness to extend knowledge base to team members.
