    CHIEF TAX SPECIALIST

    Job Summary

    The Chief Tax Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the tax strategy and compliance functions within our organization. This role plays a key part in managing the company's tax affairs, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and optimizing the tax position to support the financial objectives of the company. Prepare and file accurate and timely all monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns, reports, and documents for the organization, ensuring compliance with local tax laws. Analyze financial activities to identify tax-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies. 

     

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or tax related field required; A qualified (partially qualified) accountant (ICA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent professional certification required.
    • Minimum 7 years’ experience of income tax provision and tax compliance experience in a public company, Oil and Gas or Big four accounting firm.
    • Knowledge of preparation of tax computation for the oil and gas industry.
    • Be familiar with both Petroleum and Corporate Income Tax Acts.
